What's the big whoop, is this a spectacular skimmer achievement?

Fair one my dhoby dodging friend, clearly not as good as Astute stopping in less than half a ships length by bouncing off Scotland.

Special, special it is the highlight of any T23, not hitting anything whilst being filmed! Apologies SWS, IM JUST BORED BEFORE GOING BACK IN TO WORK.

It's not really special and old matelots will have seen it all before, but it looks quite interesting to newbies.

Quite impressive, though Jim Startin would have done that on Diana without the tugs.:glasses8:

All carriers have to do a 180 turn coming into berth at the Pool :glasses8: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6a7gewztcJM&desktop_uri=/watch?v=6a7gewztcJM. Remember that Capt Obrien from Hms Hermes did the most spectacular entrance , to harbour , always at speed , and doing an emergency stop, just I time . Soaking the American guard and band on the Jetty :applaud:

    Thats nothing.

HMS Jupiter did just that without tugs. OK it hit London Bridge, but it did it a lot faster, to be fair.

Is that to make sure the scallywags aren't trying to steal bits of the ship for scrap?
