Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The BBC website contains this article and a cool bit of video describing yesterday's disposal by Plymouth-based Southern Diving Unit 1 (SDU1) of a German ground mine found in Portland harbour on Tuesday.
  2. I bet the crew on the survey boat pooped themselves when they realised what it was, Really good video footage though

    Did the explosion improve Portland?
  4. It would take a hell of a big explosion to do that!
  5. Does beg the question in that how many of us have driven over it at some point...

It also begs the question of how the firm that were meant to have cleared ordinance from the Harbour, when Pusser handed over, missed it.
  7. Snap..I was going to say did it devastate Weymouth
  8. That would have pissed off a few grotty yachties during the warm up to the Olympics if that little lot went off under them.
