Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Gents, I am a serving member of the RAF (no jokes please). My grandfather served in the RN on ships such as HMS Hood, Rodney, and HMS Eclipse through the Murmansk / Archangel convoys. I was recently rummaging through his ditty box and found some poetry that he had written during these Atlantic convoys. Does anyone on the forums know of anyone or place that may be interested in these rather poignant poems.
    Many thanks, Mark
  2. Many thanks for that, have sent them a quick e-mail
