Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

‘In Harm’s Way’ (Coastal Forces 1940-4) by Geoffrey Hobday, Imperial War Museum 1985 refers. A very lively war.

  2. I met an RN-Coastal Forces Veteran way back who had been an engine room throttle jockey on similar craft. Eng. Room often swimming with petrol due to vibrations at pipe joints. He survived one hit/explosion/sinking but his kid brother wasn't so lucky.

He went on to become a Lion Tamer. Truly brave.

  3. Get a copy of 'The Battle of the Narrow Seas' by Peter Scott. First hand account of their private and very vicious war.
