Hi guys
I recently found my great grandfathers service record for the RN enlisting in 1910 and leaving in 1923, its so fascinating its on hide not paper ! , from what I've read he was ina number of locations and ships , such as HMS Agamemnon and im sure he was at Gallipoli too he reached PO im unsure what his trade was as the document is original and hard to read at points and im unsure of his medal entitlement. But what a find ! He finished his time in Hong Kong, China Station as a musketry instructor in Lewis gun , bayonets. I can dig it out and add more to what ships he was on.
Great history find , I also found my granpas photos from ww2 as he was RN and wow he has pictures of troops landing at anzio!
Great memories from these two gents who are no longer here .
