Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I have my interview coming up and just learning about the navy in general for it but was wondering how useful and reliable wikipedia is?
  2. Extremely. Go for it.

  3. It's the most accurate source of information known to man, make sure you mention it in your interview.

  4. For my revision I went on the Royal Navy website, used the search feature and typed in the job I'm going for, read some crap about 30CDO Brigade and decided that Wikipedia was the way to go... I disagreed with the bit about them wearing red coats when they were doing ship protection in years gone by, because everyone knows it's something to do with a green french hat, so I edited it to say "When the Marines were based on big boats they had green hats on. They did not wear red jackets because Berghaus didn't do a red fleece".

    What could possibly go wrong?
  5. PMSL.

You'd be better off using us!!!!!!!:1:
