Which beach does the most gunnery?

Hello all
This is my first post on here and I hope I’m not repeating something that has already been asked but I was wondering which branch does the most gunnery? Like using the SA80’s, GPMG’s and using the bigger machine guns on the ship and doing gaurd watches (not sure what the proper term for that is). I am currently looking at the seaman specialist branch as from what I’ve heard if you are interested in gunnery, that is the branch to go for? My grandad was in the navy 1965- 1975 and he says that the seaman specialist branch sounds A lot like what he used to do (doing gunnery and handling the ropes).

Thank you

Is all this information now classed as top secret, therefore the AFCO cannot release it to any wannabe recruits?

Fraser Gunnery Range in the Pompey area was very much on the beach.
HMS Cambridge was mostly on the cliff tops but the military training school was close to the beach.

Cape Wrath, North tip of Scotland is used for shore bombardment and there's a beach close by.

Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico has a lot of targets on the beach used for shore bombardment.

Hope that helps ;)

Well, there's Blackpool, Brighton, Southsea, Torquay and quite a few along the coast of Cornwall - but I think the stay-cationers might drip a bit what with all that 4.5 HE
dropping all over the place. Now - Tomahawks..... there's lovely! If you would prefer to send a few of them through hospital windows, orphanage roofs and village school playgrounds, then a submarine life may well be the answer.
I hear that napalm is making a comeback as well.
Good luck and don't forget that the people you will fire upon will also be doing their very best to blow your head off as well.

Sea spec.

Fair warning though, standing guard for hours at a time isn't very exciting. They get a lot of shit jobs. Not a whole lot of transferable skills compared to other trades.

Never had a ship with a bootneck contingent, (apart from a temporary arrangement once).
All the guns on all my ships were manned by matelots - and very well manned too :)
