After lingyi post ref CB ing,I started to think about things from when I was a young lad,you know the things you miss.If this topic has already been done ,please forgive me as I am a mong. Here is my little list.

A) Football stickers you know the ones that came with an album, you would collect loads and fill your book, and also take swappseys in to school to swap with your mates.

B) BMX bikes -loads of kids whizzing up and down your street making ramps, jumping each other .All from your neigbourhood, great times.

C) Being a paper boy- Up well early to deliver your papers then the same after school ,sundays were always the worst with all those supplements.
all for £4 a week.

D) Wimpy- The first high street hamburger total crap actually them MACCY D's came along.I still remember when my dad took me for my first Mcdonalds.

Just a few to start you off, please join in.

A) Yep; did that
B) Yep; loved doing that too
C) No; never did that
D) .......Ah well

I Lived in Winnipeg Canada for a while as a 5 yr old child, and the first burger I had was at one of the first Macdonalds restaurants (1979-80 ish)

(other good memories / times) - (Scousers will relate best)

The first bike i had was a Tomahawk
Days spent in Sefton Park Liverpool
Weekends with Grandparents
I also remember jumpers for goal posts, wich became Kappa coats during the 80's, but eventually went back to jumpers because the coats kept getting robbed. - (scouse habit)
Days spent in the Liverpool Garden Festival (80's)
Days spent bunking into the Garden festival
Going to the corner shop for a ten pence mix
Mr Freeze ice lollies. (I used to live on them)
Collecting bonfire wood from September onwards (f**k they where big by November. - seriously, as tall as houses)

Anyone remember spacer hoppers (and no, I'm not talking about those that went to the Whalie bop), also clackers, two heavy plastic balls on string that you had to get to knock together, now they were a health and safety hazard!

The only plausible explanation is this.

At the end of the 80's, the government realised that white poo was unfashionable and had to go. Instead of the near impossible task of paying for hundreds more street cleaners to remove the white poo, they opted for a more brutal and direct alternative, remove the grannies. All of the grannies were gathered one night and, with all of the stocks of white poo spray, were shipped out to Botswana to remote and uninhabited islands around the delta. Here they remain to this day, still spraying any fresh animal poo they can find.

Found on a site http://www.jonahjones.co.uk/blog/2005/06/white-poo-theory.html

Jumping the ramp and clearing half a dozen kids lying on the ground on said BMX. A great laugh unless you were at the end of the line!!!

Catching bees and wasps in bottles keeping them as pets.

My Tonka truck

Kick the can (anyone remember it?)

Playing tap door run (and being petfiried you will get caught - not like kids nowadays. You catch them, they knife you!!)

Making a tarzan by climbing the tallest tree imaginable and tying a rope to the top.

Panini Football stickers - especially a club badge!!
