When Air Days go wrong....

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. As we know there are no Victor Tankers flying anymore that was until
    Bruntingthorpe 3/5/09.

They held there show which has various planes doing full taxi power runs up the runway, when it was the Victors turn a freak gust of wind made the a/c take off.

Next project Victor to the Skies

  2. There is something very odd about the second picture, no trace of jet efflux, no shadow on the ground and the sky does not look at all like what you would expect of a gust strong enough to get the jet airborne.
Poxy IGS would not permit me to see the first picture.

Would be very nice if in addition to the tin triangle a Victor could be made airworthy.
  3. Taken at Brunty by NG  http://usera.ImageCave.com/scouse/2905_78391976748_627996748_1799242_6324259_n(1).jpg http://usera.ImageCave.com/scouse/2905_78392006748_627996748_1799248_2025962_n(1).jpg
