Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Wasn't sure where I should particularly post this but with all my mates galavanting around Uni campuses admiring the local bird activity and myself having less than a month until sailing ye olde seas I'd love if anyone could tell me what the 'sesh' is like in the Navy. Is there ample opportunity to get bendered off your mug and snake the local posh girls in the local 80s night club or is it all sat in the pub having a pint?

  2. if you are after an 80's club are you off granny trapping?
2 Main difference between students and young jack.
Students as a generic lot are always short of money, Jack as a salary to play with.
Students only have to comply with the law of the land, jack has to contend with the addition of naval Discipline as well, if a student misses a lecture after a night out who cares as long as the work is in, if jack is adrift you are for the high jump.
So young jack can quite easily be equated to students but with money, more rules and responsibilities.
