Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Ok so I went down to my AFCO on Tuesday and told them of my past and said its fine I just have to go back in May to apply.
Until then I'm doing all the research and practice RTs I can.

But I was wondering what's the interview like?

Is it like a normal formal selection process like with an every day job or something else?
  2. I had my interview yesterday, you mainly talk about yourself, i was in there for about 40mins in total, you'l then be asked to leave the room while they deliberate on the decision, mine took about 20mins.
learn as much as you can about your trade, i was asked on the Roles of the Navy, i would also learn what ships you could possibly serve on, and why YOU want to join the RN but there is plenty of poeple/stuff on here who will tell you their experiences, good luck
  3. He mentions National Record of Achievement.

    I don't think I was ever given one? :S
  4. Are you going officer?
  5. Na, rating me, NA(ACH)
