Forty five depending on how one counts them, from the Straits of Magellan to way past the North Cape ending with a twelve-month circumnavigation via the Cape of Good Hope and Panama. Another fifteen new ones and several revisits in the years that followed including an aerial circumnavigation via Australia and the US. Think I only paid to go to four of them, which holiday trips cleared the whole of Western Europe. All crawling with b. foreigners.

  15. Chad and Zimbabwe.

Top runs ashore. Good whoring in 'Zimbas' since the economy went to shit as well.

Found the dockyards were lacking something though, can't quite put my finger on it.

Bloody hell there RumRat, that is an impressive list. AS you say it must have been hard work on a ship.

  17. What about a country that noone else can claim to have visited on an official pusser's visit?

My offering?? Iran (think it was called Persia then) - run ashore to Bandar Abbas in HMS Chawton in 1968. In the days before the revolution when we had a base - HMS Jufair - in Bahrain. Or St Helena??

  18. Can't really think of any that no-one else would have visited as most of the ships I served on had others on board :) .

Probably the most unusual, though not all that unusual, was Iceland in about '97. Not a bad run ashore really.

  19. My first Deployment was out to the Far East with stops on the way and my second was NTG2000. So visited loads more on the global.

Too many to list really. We even visited places abroad when I was on Fish Patrol lol
