The choice, onerous as it may seem, is to choose something that suits you, not something that suits somebody else.

If you listen to all the disaffected individuals currently serving, the majority will invariably tell you not to join their job because it's crap. Invariably that maybe because they have limited experience elsewhere, the 'greener grass' phenomenon, or the fact that like all good matelots, they love to bleat about something.

If you listen to the same individuals who leave the service because it's so terrible, but are now trying to rejoin, they will tell you that with hindsight it was the best job they ever had.

Again, select something that suits & join the queue...
  6. put in the job names on the search

  8. I dont know if you have watched it but the rn jobs dvd they give you helped me choose.

  10. I have been an STC for 18 years, very rewarding. I was a Chief in no time at all, the best thing about it it that you get loads of time off. :)
  11. WAFU all the way!
  12. Bloody hell! It takes longer than 18 years to make it past AB1 in the RNR
  13. I've heard nothing but good things about the STC branch. If only I was fit enough.
