Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. How times have changed.. Winched up from a liferaft. Remember being dumped in the middle of Portland Harbour on your lonesome in the oggin..... And theSAR chopper dissapearing out of sight. Finally returning, to pick you up some time later!!!! We had are own bodily fluid to keep us warm!!!! Maybe that is the real meaning of WET Winching lol

  2. Memories eh Scouse. Remember sitting in a single seat raft in PO harbour. Safety boat goes in and the SAR chopper over flies me to carry out an actual rescue. I was remembered early afternoon!!!!

The story is a non event I think, something SAR crews practice very frequently - obvious a 'dry' day for news!!!
