I don't know how I missed this the first time around. From Private Eye (No. 1197, 9 - 22 Nov): Congratulations to Alex West, a rookie reporter on the Sun who pulled in last week's big scoop - an exclusive warning from Home Office Security Minister Admiral Lord Alan West that "Britain is facing a 30-year war to defeat terror". The interview may have appeared under the byline of chief reporter John Kay, but the youngster, who only joined the paper in September, played an instrumental part in securing the interview with Lord West - or as he calls him, Dad. I detest that kind of stuff. Has the boy no pride? And why on earth did his dad indulge him?
