Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. WARNING - AIRY FAIRIES SHOULD NOT READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNLESS OF A ROBUST PSYCHOLOGICAL MAKE-UP/MAKE-OVER!!!

In another thread Peter has questioned whether the tales of dering do AiryFairies all learned during their nightly bedtime story sessions from Chiefy, as Baby Fairies, were true or just made up!

Unbelieveable, I know lads! Personally I had always believed (as a Civvy I might add) that the story of Rapunzel was literally true and that an Airy Fairy flew over to her and rescued her from the roof of Pompey DQs, and that Higthepig's tale about climbing up her hair to rescue her was dubious (even though she was, apparently a French bird... once).

Slim's so traumatised that he might need long-term counselling (should the waiting list not outlive him).

What do you think. Was Rapunzel really only an (Airy)Fairy story?
