  2. That aeroplane must have been quite a handful. All those gee gees through one big airscrew. A Sea Fury formation aerobatic team would have been "interesting". All credit to Lt Cdr Carmichael for taking on and beating a jet with one.

    Friend of ours who flew Sea Furies in Korea said it was 'very steady in the dive'. That's all I could get out of him. Somehow his face got smashed into the instrument panel but he doesn't tell that story (but his nose does).
  5. I know a pilot, (Historic Flight), he managed to ditch the flights last two flying Fury's. Since then I believe they have another - hope they don't let him near that one!!!!! :thumbright:
