  1. Greetings 

Back in July 2009 I passed my RT for warfare specialist.
I have been reading through the forums for a while now and you fine people have given me a lot of info ( thanks )
Now with a lot of people recently getting start dates again does anyone know if they will be wanting my chosen trade anytime soon ? Thanks in advance for all replys.

Sent from an IPhone so sorry about punctuaition and spelling as I know you lads love grammar mistakes.

are you doing going for WS in general service or subs? I know the WS sub trades have much shorter waiting times.

Im going in as WS General Service. I passed everything in September 2009. I rang the AFCO a few weeks ago and I was told I was towards the top of the list for going to Raleigh next. He said I should be expecting a phonecall at the beggining of April. But i'm not getting my hopes up.

Best advice is to ring your local AFCO.

Hope is foolish at the moment, I'm doing WS S(SM) and even though it's one of the shortest waits of the lot I've been pushed back twice already. I was told to expect news in April too (apparently that's when the AFCO's find out their manning requirements for the year)
  5. I'm going in general service and glad to see I'm not the only WS waiting this long.
Pretty frustrating at times as the only letter I've ever had in about a year is fancy seeing a ship in Pompey !! I was pretty close to writing back I would rather work on it to be honest 
