You'll be qualified to turn up on time to a meeting.

Unfortunately there aren't many Quarterdecks in civvy street.

    From the Official RN Website:

    Link: Warfare Specialist-Transferring your skills

During your time in the Royal Navy, you will have the opportunity to gain all kinds of skills, from the technical know-how you will need to do your job, to personal qualities like teamworking, problem solving, self-confidence and leadership.

You will also be able to earn Marine Safety Agency Certificates in Firefighting, First Aid, Sea Survival, Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.

All the skills and qualifications you can gain are recognised and valued by businesses outside the Royal Navy, and you will find they open up a wide range of opportunities for you if you decide to leave.

I understand there are moves afoot for various NVQ awards, possibly including Public Services Level 2 & upwards as you progress through the ranks.
