Hi everyone

Just a few questions on my mind currently in the process of joining warfare branch (submarine)
I found that in surface Fleet its split into 5 categories but in the submarine donent mention anything i take it its all built into 1 and you lean everything?

Secondly once you have passed all training I understand that you cant be at sea all the time so when not at sea what do you do why waiting if not on leave and can it be a number of months at dock waiting ?

Thanks for any reply as I'm new and just after as much info as I can get thanks again.

There's 2 branches for WS(SM), sonar (SSM) and tactical (TSM). You have to learn all the routines and the ships systems and how the boat works.

When not at sea you do courses, take leave and carry out maintenance ready to go back to sea.

Thanks for that so weather you pick sonar or tactical you will have to know both systems and be able to operate them both ?

What is the main difference in them as I have found them to be verry close not like surface Fleet

Not learn both branches, learn how the boat dives, surfaces, the hydraulic and air systems, how the boat moves through the water, the different propulsion modes, the electrical supplies etc etc.

Sonar detect and classify the targets, Tactical track them, basically, and that is a very basic description.
