War Pension Interview - phew

  1. I had my interview for my War Pension last week went something like this:
    2 weeks prior phone call from a local area GP stating she was going to assess me for my war pension on behalf of the VA - great I said, only waited 9 months, what do you know of my medical history - nothing she said, more good news.
    She came round to my house, lots of questions, no evidence that she had been given my background by war pensions, after all I had sent them my medical documents months previously - strange I thought.
    Now waiting for the medical boards decision after they receive her report I don't hold out much hope for anything. Felt like I was begging for charity. What a sad way to deal with our veterans - anyone had a similar experience???
