  1. hi just a quickie hopefully someone can help me ,

i passed my pjft on friday and im still hurting lol, i was just wondering if someone can tell me roughly how long i wil need to wait until i get my letter with my provisional entry date ?
    thanks in advance :thumright:
  2. Think it all depends on how fast MOD process your security clearence form? I might be wrong though!
  3. ok thanks , i have had everything cleared passed one and dusted tried to ring the afco but no answer.
  4. What branch you joining? I have a 9 month waiting list for seaman specialist so they might deal with others first who have less of a waiting list.

For re-entries, such as yourself, having passed the PJFT on your 2nd attempt, you have to wait until security clearance (SC) has been granted again before "approval to re-enter" can be requested & a bid made for a provisional entry date.

Waiting times are purely dependent on your status on re-entry and whether you are classed as an untrained re-entrant (UTRE) & the specific trade which you now wish to enter as.

If you are classed as a part-trained re-entrant (PTRE), having failed phase two, but successfully completed phase one to a satisfactory standard, in which case you will join 9 weeks after your fellow future phse-two classmates for that particular trade.

A rough ball-park figure can be given if you know whether your SC has been granted & what trade you wish to re-enter in & at what stage of training. Alternatively you could ask your Careers Adviser.

UTRE for Logs (SC) is approx 6 months from passing interview. (ish)

    Good luck.
  7. thanks for the info ninj :thumright:
um , i have a letter here which my CA gave me which is an email he recieved saying :

1; approved to be processed for re-entry into the RN to complete full career subject to final approval at hms raleigh.

2; should re-enter as an AB(LOG)(SC)2 at new entry rate of pay and will not be required to undergo phase 1 training provided he re-enters before apr 09
  8. oh and it says part trained
  9. what do you think it will be for first time people like myself?
  10. While your'e waiting you can practice your painting and scrubbing out skills - and it will please your parents
  11. I'll get on it
  12. i will contact afco tomorrow see if they have any idea yet

That bit is the 'approval to process' your application. After completing the selection process, after SC is granted, you need 'approval to enter' service.
  14. aah ok thanks for the enlightenment ninja :thumright:
  15. Hey Ninja you on a one person recruitment campaign here never met someone who loves the mob so much then joins the careers service spending your days smelling of piss and talcum powder - we get free emails at sea these day as well unless your're on a T45 and then you get feck all for the next 3 years except free food and accom now sell that.

[IMG] NURSE! Stan's out of bed again... we think he's been at the surgical spirit.

For those that don't know the legendary Stan, before he was put out to grass: It was rumoured that were he to be tracked by satellite on one of his beloved parade grounds (assuming it was of sufficient acreage) he would trace an anti-clockwise circuit whilst believing he was marching in a straight line, due to the excessive quantity of 'gongs' on his port mammary region.

Stan's scrap metal value alone is more than 2SL earns annually.

Just to clarify: for anyone joining a T45, you have the same communications facilities as all other ships currently in service & enhanced accommodation for Junior Ratings.

Not that I'm trying to sell it you understand. :thumright:
