Sadly there seems to be a backlog of medical referrals - apparently due to the increase in applications & a shortage of administrative personnel.

Possibly a letter sent direct to your local AFCO Medical Examiner to enquire whether there has been any progress, may help expedite your application.

A 5 month wait is nothing short of appalling - A letter of complaint to your local MP generally speeds things up a bit too.

    Good luck.
