Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Any wafus still actively on here, what's it like actually qualifying as a lad? I'm a part 4 at the moment and I know it "gets better" but does it?
  2. Depends what aircraft to go for?

Depends if you stay on a squadron or go Ships AED?

Going from Pt 4 to QM/QS Qualified apart from removing the surcoat and ditching the taskbook, you will still clean, carry out station duties, be the trade brew maker and not get a seat in badgeman's row when you embark.

But remember its still got to be better than being a dabber :)

Which circuit are you on? Things will change when you get the chance to go away, be that ship or into the field with the junglies. Saying that the junglies are now getting their sea legs again.
  4. What do you think 'getting better' is?
Just do your job and enjoy it. You get out what you put in. I did Junglie, small ships flights and ASW squadrons. All different, all have their challenges. All were good. Great lads, great times.

  5. You may think it gets better but you will always be a WAFU?
