Contrary to what doubters without a reason thought ( maybe they were on ARRSE not here ) ex con Vicky Pryce has had her Companion of the Bath honour recalled.

    Vicky Price negative CB

Just because one is a member of the establishment doesn't mean the establishment won't do your legs. A similar myth as to 'the thickness of thieves' raises its thick head when an officer is kicked out the Service by a Court Martial composed of er, officers.

  2. The perception has always been that people will always look after their own but when the guilt is as public and clear as Vicky Prices' there insn't much scope to influence proceedings. When she was released on tag after a fairly short period behind bars I saw it suggested she had been treated more leniently than Joe Public. Maybe she was , maybe she wasn't, but in her case the public disgrace is a bigger punishment than the time served in prison.
PS Stand by for the book at Crimbo relating to her time in prison and how hard done by she was.

The only thing that's surprising is that a custodial sentence doesn't automatically remove any honours awarded - it would certainly avoid critics suggesting disparities.

  4. Aye, it's good to kill an admiral from time to time in order to encourage the others.
