VIC 96 on its way to Chatham via Tyneside

#2
Fantastic bit of history .

VIC 32 does trips in the Caledonian Canal and Western Isles for steam afficionado's . Takes on paying passengers who actually work ship during their stay !!

They are derived from the Clyde ''puffer'' cargo vessel -although most of them converted to diesel motorships in commercial use.The availability of good coal being in short supply and the labour costs signed the ending of 'king coal''use .

Steam Supreme :) :)
