Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. It either re-froze around her, snowed like a barsteward or she came up 'kin slowly
  2. Please don't consider this ignorant, the topmost extrusions (periscope area) of the submarine- are/were these retracted prior to an ice break or can they withstand breaking 3ft of ice?

  3. Yes
  4. It's called the fin (sail in yankspeak) and their strengthened for under ice ops for that specific purpose
  5. Nice. Would be fantastic to witness the spectacle top-side as it breaks through.
  7. Awesome
