Royal Marine George 'Sparky' Sparks

I read it this morning in the hard copy Telegraph. Some bastard was smoking nearby.

The article does the Corps, the author and Marine Sparks proud. Georgie will be the second Marine Sparks to pass into Corps legend.

Chris Terril is a true friend of the RM and a deserved honoury wearer of the green lid who has stood side by side with the lads in Afghan.
Im so glad he wrote this fantastic article for his friend Georgie Sparks.
Another fine Mairine who makes me proud to say I once was a serving bootneck just like him.

Rest Royal.

A fine tribute for "Sparky" everybody at Lympstone thought he would fail all except one man and that was 'Sparky".

RIP. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Was not the first one a 'Cockleshell Hero'?
Aye. Bill Sparks DSM and Col Hasler were the only survivors of the Cockleshell raid on Bordeaux.

What a fantastic tribute to a committed and brave young man the article is.
The epitome of the Commando spirit carry on till you're ready to drop, then keep going on sheer willpower and 6 Mars bars.

RIP Mne Sparks.
