Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Does leave accumulate while at collingwood for training?

A cr2 has to do around 3 months training at collingwood and excellent before a 4 month sea appointment.

Is there any leave before the sea appointment? If not, will I be away for 7 months before leave? Assuming 3 months leave before returning for further training.

  2. You will not be expected to complete the whole of training and then a sea job without any leave, all in one go. You will fit in with the fixed leave pattern of the establishment, in addition to having some weekends off during training. So, should your training have Easter somewhere in it for example, you will go on leave during the Easter break...it's a bit like school holidays.

  3. Thanks.

15 week course so you'll probably get a few weeks off. I reckon if they've closed recruiting now it'll be sift this month for interviews jan/feb then start late April earliest with Collingrad summer leave.
