Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. You work all your life pay your taxes and NI contributions and through your endevours own your own property. In later life you become ill and are legally forced to sell your home to pay for your care this is the home that you intended to be your children’s inheritance. Now some parasite who has never worked and scrounged off the state all their lives goes into care and the state pays all their fees, how can this be right and what can we do to correct this gross injustice?

    Well that's socialism for you:

    Socialism
An "economic, social and political doctrine which expresses the struggle for the equal distribution of wealth by eliminating private property and the exploitative ruling class. In practice, such a distribution of wealth is achieved by social ownership of the means of production, exchange and diffusion."

  3. Hoist by your own petard!

  4. The State does not like independant spirits. The State knows best.

Irn Broon and his Stalinist oppos will not be happy until they take all our wages in tax and just give us a small allowance to waste on food.
    (Not beer or ciggies)

Surely champagne socialists like yourself, Finky, have nothing to be surprised about?

"There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always—do not forget this, Winston—always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face … for ever."

    —Part III, Chapter III

"These people will eliminate the old capitalist class, crush the working class, and so organize society that all power and economic privilege remain in their own hands. Private property rights will be abolished, but common ownership will not be established. The new 'managerial' societies will not consist of a patchwork of small, independent states, but of great super-states grouped round the main industrial centres in Europe, Asia, and America. These super-states will fight among themselves for possession of the remaining uncaptured portions of the earth, but will probably be unable to conquer one another completely. Internally, each society will be hierarchical, with an aristocracy of talent at the top and a mass of semi-slaves at the bottom."

-- Same Author although not from the same book, do you know who it is yet?

  6. So, you are guilty of the capitalistic crime of accumulating private property, eh? Perhaps you should have shared it with your less fortunate comrades in one of the few surviving workers' paradises such as North Korea.

    Q. "What's the difference between socialism and capitalism?"

    A. "Under capitalism one person exploits another person, and under socialism - the opposite."

  7. Me thinks someone has just shot themself in both their feet.

  8. Definition of a socialist:
One who has sweet FA and wishes to share it with you.

  9. Awful isn't it, a bit like the hypocrite Christians praise the lord that I am an atheist.

Jesus said to him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Is that kinda like 46 virgins??

  11. Strange one that isn't it , if you are a woman do you get 46 hunks all rigged like a vim tin?

  12. It's crap mate, and really makes me see red, but to answer your question; nothing can be done to rectify it now mate, the rot has set in and I fear, can't be undone. There are now families into their 3rd generation of benefit dependance and it doesn't look like it's going to change any time soon. Sure people harp on about the Conservatives changing things for the better, and don't get me wrong, they'll be getting my vote, no danger, however, as soon as some scum tries to have his benefits taken away, or even just reduced to a lesser level than they are at the moment, then it'll be off to the EU Court of Human Rights who will rule that "the man has done nothing wrong and all of a sudden, through no fault of his own, you're giving him less to live on, or taking some benefit or other away from him, that he's always had up til now.........pay the man his money!".

How I weep for our once great land.....keep paying those taxes boys and girls X

  13. All to true.Pisses me off. :threaten:

  14. All true Im afraid.

That is why I live and work abroad and although I do not know where I will end up sadly it is very unlikely to be the UK - which ever political party forms the government.

"Capitalism is disappearing, but Socialism is not replacing it. What is now arising is a new kind of planned, centralized society which will be neither capitalist nor, in any accepted sense of the word, democratic. The rulers of this new society will be the people who effectively control the means of production: that is, business executives, technicians, bureaucrats and soldiers, lumped together by Burnham under the name of ‘managers".

    Orwell's Essays :thumright:

I've always loved the word Machiavellian, sort of rolls off the tongue.

  17. Would that be the Illuminati or New Labour or are they one of the same?

I wouldn't credit "them" with the ability to manipulate the new world order, more likely a shower of shite without the sense to understand how they and their policies are perceived in the real world and the arrogance to believe what they are doing is "new" You aren't David Icke are you? :money:

  19. Right that's the Illuminati sorted now what about New Labour?

Less Ingsoc, more Ministry of Truth I'd say, although you could probably describe the whole of "modern" British politics within that statement.
