The Young Officer's Sheet Anchor

I like books about ships (Patrick O'Brian etc) and was bemused by the teminology. So I found this book on Amazon (written in the early 1800s by passenger who asked a sailor a nautical question and was told to "find out yourself") which was the naval textbook for the first half of the 19th century.

It confused me even more!

I thought that nautical types may be interested in its reprinted existence.
I got it for just over a tenner. The full title is The Young Sea Officer's Sheet Anchor by Darcy Lever, and I read about it in the history bit at the back of a novel.
