The Waiting Game

#1
Hi, im currently waiting for my dates to go in as a warfare specialist, after passing all recruitment tests iv been waiting for 4 month. I phoned up 2 weeks ago to change my contact details, and they said i should be expecting a call from the next month. Does anybody know what this will be about. My friend said he got a phone call six months in to his wait to make sure he still wanted to go in, but in feb it will only be my 5 month. Any body have any idea's.

Thanks

It might be as they predict they will have news of an entry date seen as though dates are being allocated for the end of the year already. However this might not be the case so wouldn't want to get your hopes up. The waiting game is crap until you get your dates but got to play the game, just try not to predict what the call may be about if you are unsure as will probably drive you quackers. They will call when they call.

Tis a boring game, but everyone has do it. I completed security clearance in October but still waiting for a start date as a W.E. It's not a nice position to be in but i see it as character building an all...

Warfare Specialist, so far as I recall, is about a two year wait from test to entry. Your AFCO will have told you this when you applied.

Generally, specific entry dates are notified anything from six to ten months ahead of the actual start date. In my experience, if in doubt, it's better to call your Careers Adviser than ask people who know nothing about your circumstances to punt a random guess.

We found him asleep at home! He'd cut the legs off his bed because he was trying to lie low for a while... :|

It will come round. I waited nearly two years for my start date as a WS. The waiting times are coming down. I've always wondered if age had anything to do with it. I'm 26 ( 25 when I applied) and I guy I knew (who was 20) who applied the same time as me got in as a WS within a year...Thoughts anyone?
