The Spitfire mystery?

#3
It is/was common practise to bury aircraft and aircraft spares. When we left Sembawang, early 70's, we buried loads of aircraft spares and tools. Right next to the graves of previous airfield inhabitants, (aircraft that is).

Unlike at sea; Splaaaaash!

Bloke on the Island rebuilds/restores them ... normally got at least 2 on the go in his workshop at Sandown Airport! He has a chap working for him that makes most of the spares from scratch ... built me a distributor for an MG once ... bet he'd be inteested in the spares!
