Who's harrassing who? Is it naughty to think that's niceI think she will fail, supposed to be a paperless office, she has no need to be in the bottom draw. On the other hand if she was trying to get my attention, she succeeded.

It's not their fault, they blame every one else, mostly the older generation, as they are not responsible for their own actions, the government is for not providing a good enough nanny state, unless they want to riot or party and cause trouble, then it's the police's fault for being there spoiling their fun.
In a nutshell..It's not their fault, they blame every one else, mostly the older generation, as they are not responsible for their own actions, the government is for not providing a good enough nanny state, unless they want to riot or party and cause trouble, then it's the police's fault for being there spoiling their fun.
I can relate to that, pissing all my money away as young Jack, that is. Then one day I was married with kids, time for a priority change, well almost, sober at home, and a few swift halves when away.Let me give you just one anecdote that illustrates the problem with modern times.
Yesterday I was speaking to a lass who is a twin - her brother works in roofing. He had an injury incident recently but even before he was stitched up (and these were large open wounds on the inner forearm) he was continuing to work. Good ethic, if a little foolhardy. Anyway, they are both 23. As we were speaking about some of the positives from the current plague - a re-evaluation of what is important money-wise being one of them - she said he was moving into his first flat this weekend. All from money he would normally be pissing up the wall every Friday & Saturday night.
The implication being, if we hadn't had local lockdowns imposed then he would never have had the incentive to have saved enough for the deposit, opting instead to "waste" it. But of course (although she did not say it and I am not inclined to think she would - she was happy he had readjusted his priorities), had he continued then that would have been the fault of all the old people who all had it soooooo much easier than the generation of today.
This thing with the free meals outside of school is another one - it is not the fault of the State that the individual cannot properly manage themselves. But with the breakup of communities and the family structure, the people involved are no longer getting the right type of education and support from that source to help them be fully self-sufficient so it was inevitable that they would turn to the government to 'support' them. It just so happens they have done so at a time when the government of the day is one that believes in small government and the importance of personal responsibility as a measure for freedom.
The furore over this seemingly small aspect is actually shining a light on what type of society we believe we should be forming - and it is not encouraging. As stated in another post, it is highlighting cracks that were always there but now bringing them into sharp relief while under strain.
Nothing wrong with that, if making a jam sandwich, butter goes on the bread first, not the jam
If one puts the other half on the scone on top, it can be inverted to suit whichever county one is inNothing wrong with that, if making a jam sandwich, butter goes on the bread first, not the jam![]()

As I married a Plymouth Girl,, I always make it opposite to what she does, winds her up a treat. If one puts the other half on the scone on top, it can be inverted to suit whichever county one is in![]()
It’s only an issue because of the colour of government at present. Even Mr Rashfords complaints during his upbringing were mainly the responsibility of the red flavoured government, but the current blues get it in the neck. This may be a simplistic view of mine but not long back we had a major recession with thousands of jobs lost but the kids being fed was not an issue.
Now we have a pandemic, thousands of jobs lost and all of a sudden the kids are starving and it's all the Government's fault.
What happened between the two events to cause this?
And we ( the taxpayer ) have probably already bought loads of them meals with the completely ridiculous "Eat out to Help Out " - and don't even get me started on how many houses we've paid for with the even worse "Help to Buy"It's interesting that some Eateries are offering a free kids meal with each Adult one purchased, if they can afford to eat out why do they need hand outs.
