Lee the driver of this the "London Model" parked it outside the NAAFI rather that taking it back to the Air Yard and missing last orders after a show, the Crab OOD told him to shift it NOW. Lee being slightly dischuffed did, Via the Crabs cricket wicket where he did several doughnuts before taking it up the Air Yard. Lee was RTU'd the next morning. The Crabs were not happy.

Good question, one I hadn't thought about TBH. It says he bought just blades so I don't know if it applies to disposable razors.

Raleigh, early sixties, just turned 16.....told to shave! Looking back, it was BS....but my dad had a spare elec shaver, remember it was a Remington....vicious beast it was too, which he sent down for me.....

Grandson can not buy his own razor blades, Mum or big sister has to get themfor him  apparently it is illegal to sell them to people under 18. One shop got done. How do they manage at Raleigh? Does the Instructor have to get blades for them to shave their bum fluff?
https://www.conveniencestore.co.uk/news/store-fined-10304-for-selling-a-4-pack-of-razor-blades/573760.article

Apparently , these are a problem.
From the article:
"The sale of knives, knife blades, razor blades, and axes, is restricted to customers aged over 18 years. "

"The only exception made for age is if the purchase is for razor blades permanently enclosed in a cartridge or housing where less than two millimetres of any blade is exposed, for example, disposable razors or replacement razor cartridge heads."

So therefore, these aren't a problem:

Battery Powered Vehicles.
I hadn't thought about this!

Has anyone thought it through?

If all cars were electrically powered…..

Imagine three hours of traffic jam, battery flat, what are you going to do ?

There is practically no heating in an electric vehicle over extended periods

If you are stuck in traffic during the night, no battery energy left, no heating !!!

Call the breakdown services to collect women and children !!

They can’t even get there because the roads are choked !!

When the road is cleared no one can move, (flat batteries) !!

How are the hundreds or thousands of cars going to be recharged ?

It’s going to be the same in the summer traffic jams.

That’s going to be perpetual jams with dead batteries.

(But nobody talks about it !)

More proof that our Governments , Greens and the rest, don’t think beyond the ends of their noses.

If you arn't moving you arnt using much lecy in an EV, 4kw for the heating or 500w for the seats. ICE car the engine must run all the time for heating. 30 + KW battery

The one thing that doesn't seem to be looked at with electric cars is battery life. Dry cell re-chargeable batteries tend to last 2 - 3 years so how often will you need to change batteries and how much will it cost?

I honestly cannot foresee the day when everyone will be driving an all electric car. Various car manufacturers and others have been playing with hydrogen propelled vehicles for some time. These too have zero emissions but have the advantages of being refuellable much like the petrol/diesel cars of today. Why isn't the world doubling it's efforts to make this commonplace rather than pinning our hopes on something which will require a huge infrastructure change in a very short period of time to make the viable?

Never mind cars, what about goods movements? It will take a huge battery pack to propel a 44 tonne artic for even a short distance and the only viable alternative to diesel fuel at the moment seems to be gas, either LPG or Propane. Mind you, with a current driver shortage of around 40.000 in this country and the average age of hgv drivers being 48 years old, coupled with only one new driver coming into the industry for every three leaving there will be no one to drive them anyway!

Don't need petrol, diesel, electricity, solar energy or gas. Just a bag of carrots.

its the exhaust fumes in the driving seat that's the killer :D
remember reading an article about London just before the invent of mechanical transport, they had a major problem with dispensing with Horse Shit , these days its Bull shit they have to deal with from fake press and Westminster?
