My great-uncle was in H8 at Harwich early in 1918 under CAC Russel. Russel was transferred to G8 & my uncle tossed a coin with another officer (Allerton) to follow him. Allerton won the toss. My uncle stayed in H8 (until he was swapped into E4). G8 is still on patrol.
  3. OOPS!! Not up on your nomenclature - apologies.
  4. ''...G8 is still on patrol...'' ?? Care to explain ?

I thought these boats were built in 1915..?
  5. Didnt return - therefore "Still on patrol".
  6. Understood
