I remember Buccaneers being out of bounds when I was on the Ark in 88, got down there to see the Skipper and Commander propping the bar up
Had my leaving do there in 88. Was right by the sea. When I went back in 93 it was a couple of hundred yards inland due to reclamation. The new one was at Cormorant. Cheap beer though!Do any of you silly old farts remember the euphemistically named RN Sports and Social Club? As I recall, it was just along from Rooke on a patch of land and was the upper of two PortaCabins.
A very cheap drinking den is what it was, run and staffed by I think PTIs.
