Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Bob Hope teamed with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour to give the entertainment world some of its greatest films and sources of laughter . Humour vastly different to todays , the three gave a lot of pleasure to many although with Bob Hope he was particularly known for his efforts to entertain the armed services and they loved him for it . He lived until 100 yo and for some reason it appears never received an Oscar. He even made a joke out of that such was the strength of his ability to make humour out of something many of us would become upset about . Anyway for those interested , here's some classics of his ' one liners ' , even as he aged his humour kept up to date
