Test results

Hi everyone ,
My son sat his recruitment test today and although his score wasn’t quite high enough for the Technical Enginneer on a submarine he did score high enough for a Communications Specialist .
I have googled the life out of this but would anybody know if with some revision he’s in with a chance of improving his score enough for his first choice ?
He is 15 and has practiced the test for about a week and a half ..( not long I know)
I have now ordered a book and am going to practice with him a few times a week . I know different branches require different scores but can’t seem to find anything about how far off he may potentially be . If he’s nowhere near the score would it be worth him looking at different roles ? Any info would be fab ! Thanks I’m advance

If he was given the opportunity of CIS as a result of his score, he is some way off what is required for his preference of either Marine/Weapons Engineer Submarines. Revision might get him over the line but the guidance for the RT score is the likelihood of being able to cope with the academic content of his branch. Studying to just get over the line after 12 years at school might not be a good move. Good luck.

Apparently it was the mechanical part of the test he wasn’t quite up to scratch with. He did brilliantly in the Numeracy and English .

Mechanical comprehension is a useful skill when it comes to applying for an engineering branch... My previous post is still valid.
