SUPA pay

  1. So, question for the writers. Imagine the situation. You have been selected and have held a rate (lets say PO) for the last few years, reaching increment level 4. You then are forced to drop down a rate because you are injured and havent yet hit your CPD.

    Luckily, a PO billet comes up inboard and you get it, with the chance to be in receipt of SUPA (old money substitution pay). So you will be a paid LH (at the increment level you last were as a LH), in receipt of SUPA pay for the rate of PO.

    Do you only get paid SUPA pay to the equivalent of a Level 1 PO, even if you already hit level 4 when you were acting? Does the seniority carry over?
