If you read the book, the chapter about the longest trail carried out by a Swiftsure class boat, HMS Sovereign, Operation Agile Eagle, is a patrol I was on....my one claim to fameThank you. Going to watch tonight.
The captain got a married accompanied lecture tour of the States and an OBE, we got an extended weekend leave, as in a days extra leave

Remember giving a lecture about a new propulsion system fitted to one of our boats. We, My fellow aircrewman and I), went to Faslane for a briefing so we could then pass the info to our flight crews.
The briefing started by the CO standing up and declaring the lecture was UK eyes only. The German and Canadian crews left. The Yanks remained. (For a second). The CO then asked the MOD Police to escort the Yanks out of the briefing room. UK Eyes Only means just that!! Even the Yanks weren't privy to our lil ole secrets!!!
