Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Are you flexible, mobile and self motivated?
I supply qualified engineering staff to companies involved in design, commissioning and maintenance to power distribution networks across the UK.  This includes electrical control / protection specialists, fitters and jointers, as well as engineers and project managers.
I would be keen hear from individuals with exposure to working on high voltage power networks, substations, etc.  11kV minimum, but ideally upwards of 132kV.
Roles will usually entail involvement in projects across a region of the country so a fair amount of travel will be required.  You will have direct client contact and be largely responsible for managing your own time.  You will need to be presentable, competent and offer good interpersonal skills.
Salaries are flexible depending on the specific role and location, but packages typically include company vehicle or allowance, performance related bonus schemes and the potential for significant overtime earnings.
