I'd be up for this if I lived north of here...sounds great.
I originally thought it was about being watch on stop on, harbour stations and then finding your duty first night in, however it does seem like a good crack.
Surely given the amount of time they spend in "coffins" hiding from the sunlight, submariners would make better vampires..?
Last time I was a Section Chief onboard a boat my No2 was a right Zombie. So much so his nickname was Mogodon (a sleeping pill I am led to believe!)
It sounds like a night out in Birkenhead.

Funnily enough, the reactions of the crew in the first photo is the same one expressed by ex-submariners when they learned that females were now eligible to join boats... :shock:
(Although the Chief - second left - is clearly a closet Tommy Cooper fan.) :wink:
