Submariner length of service.

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. If somebody was to become a submariner whilst already serving what is the return of service before you can leave the navy altogether. Is this just dictated by the golden handshake?
  2. 5 years before you can return to General Service. If you want to go outside from SM service, and you'd taken the Golden Hello, it would be 4 years RoS. The other option is to pay back the money and then put your notice in.
  3. so could you just not take the handshake in the first place and carry on as a submariner.
  4. Yes - but if you are going to do the time why not take the money? I'm not eally sure what you're getting at!
  5. You get a bounty for volunteering? Kinell!:eek:mfg:
  6. Hi, quick question on golden hello. Could anyone advise me on how to chase it up? Writers have sent the paperwork off but JPAC have nothing on their system. It's been a couple of months since I passed bsq.
  7. :laughing2:

one of the funniest things I have ever read

join the SM service, they have their claws in you and you are IN....put it that way

there is a reason why hardly any submariners have been made redundant
