  1. Hello!

Just wondering can you Submariners help me out on a few things before I sit the interview on Thursday. I am applying to go Sonar Spec and I think I am pretty clued up on it.

Only thing is im not too sure about the Dry and Wet tests involve and where abouts do we do them??

Also is there anything else you think I should read up on that isnt so obvious?
I know you guys give out a lot of stick and it is funny but please try and help me!lol.

  2. Depends what boats you go on. SMQ(Dry) for T boats is Guzz (Plymouth) at the moment and SMQ(D) for A and V boats is Faslane. Your wet phase will be on the first available platform of the type you did the dry phase on.

Dry phase is 8 weeks classroom work and crawling around a boat if one is available.
Wet phase is off to sea to put it all into practice and qualify as a submariner which should take you about 3 months, maybe quicker if you decide to crack on and not sleep!
