Just a quick question about time not at sea

I know that even when not deployed subs can be out for the day or weekend or whatever.

But my question is what is the typical day like while the boat is alongside at home.
As a WS (sound)

Turn to at 0800, secure 1600 unless you're duty. Work can be anything, think of yourself as a general hand. You could be painting the casing, spending time in the trainers etc etc.

You don't live on the boat when alongside, only when you're duty.
