Steward or seaman?

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I've made my mind up about joining the RFA, however I am torn between applying as a seaman or a steward, I was wondering if anyone currently serving in these roles could give me some insight please.

  2. If you are fat, lazy and like to moan a lot be a deckie. If you like to clean dishes and make beds be a steward
  3. Seamen walk with a rolling gait while stewards just mince around.
    Your choice

  4. Depends what you want in life? Or what you want to do?
I'm currently training as an apprentice steward.....I can't tell you what it's like just yet as I'm on my 3rd week.

But what I can say is......I don't mince around. ;)
