  2. OK, is this a bite? We all know what STC means (and the very valuable contribution the brave souls have made) but what does the 'W' on the end mean? Is it the entry level qual now? An aptitude test?
  3. Maybe I've missed the joke here but STCW stands for Standards of Training and Certification of Watchkeeping.
