I've seen a few of these, not funny and they do send a message.

I sometimes think they'd be more effective without the cloying music though, but that's probably more a cultural thing.

I do know the damage that was done to my sis in law when her air bag inflated. If she had been back just a touch instead of on max up near the dash it would have been different. I think of a small child up front and the damage it would cause. Yet still we have these families letting the kid ride up front.

I agree. there is a sense of voyeurism in the presentation. Who needs it?
