I'm the times this morning it mentioned that the SRR was up for review in the defence cuts and was likely to be cut. Does this sound right?! Seems a bit surprising given the infinite potential uses!

There's always a need for intelligence, be that Human Int, Signals Int, Cyber Int etc. Doubt SRR will totally disappear, for you young 'uns (and wanna be young 'uns) SRR is the Bastard child of 14 Int. As monty say, expect a name change, a few sideways moves but nothing to drastic I'd have thought.
